If you are looking for an unusual way of building relationships with your colleagues or clients away from the office, consider taking a de-stressing walk with a llama. Lead your own llama along bridleways, past idyllic villages and through beautiful rolling countryside. Although you can't actually ride the Llamas, they will willingly carry your rucksack whilst you soak up the surroundings.
Llamas, members of the camelid family, are believed to have their origins in the central plains of North America around 40 million years ago. The earliest domesticated animal, llamas were first trained by the Incas in the high Andes Mountains close to Lake Titicaca around 4,000 years ago.
There are various treks that you and your colleagues can embark upon. Learn how to handle a llama, help with grooming and make sure that the llama, if a pack llama, is packed properly. There are different aspects of the trek that each person must be accountable for including: tethering, unpacking and feeding of their group's llama, food preparation and serving, and so on.
Optional extra: overnight camping may be available.
